Dr Montana and his staff is the very best been going there for 40 years!! He has taken care of my dogs and cats always would care!
I took my cats there and they are nice and the place is clean.
I saw a review talking about lack of bedside manner out of Dr. Montana, this was my first visit (and with a brand new puppy to boot) and I couldn't be happier with his attitude. Lighthearted and kind. The front desk ladies were excellent as well! They explained care packages and pricing without it. We'll be back for the rest of those shots for sure π
Lots to say, so! One- Dr.Montana has million dollar hands. Two- Iβm 30, my family has been clients my whole life and have had every single cat and dog seen here. Three- Iβm a trained vet tech whoβs worked in several pet hospitals and love them all- but will always choose here for my family. Four- the reviews about Dr. Montana being more blunt post stroke, the fact is know that going in and never take anything personal. This veterinarian knows every single thing there is to know about veterinary practice and has spot on intuition. His intentions are to help your loved one and that is what this man has known and nurtured his whole life. From merely examining your animal he can tell you what it most likely is before the test comes back. Five- he will give it to you straight and with care, personally I like the blunt ness. Why? Because Iβm not left sitting in the exam room with a million dollar treatment plan panicking about what to do. He will give it to you straight and you can feel confident. Six! I think I read a review about going straight to euthanasia? Out of the fifteen animals at least, throughout my life only one was examined to determine she had cancer and it was everywhere. This man and hospital do not make more money by doing a one off service. If he believes there is treatment for your animal, it is going to be presented to you and presented clearly. And whatever questions I have about costs for long term treatment are honest and in my opinion straight forward Like a human doctor would. I ultimately donβt want someone dancing around the topic of what I should do for my animal. He is caring, and the smartest in this industry Iβve seen in AZ, and like I said has million dollar hands. I appreciate every aspect of this hospital. Every aspect. I experienced no βattitudeβ like other comments. Seven- Iβm sorry but have some empathy. Any negative comment has had the same rhetoric. βAfter stroke more bluntβ. But the knowledge Dr. Montana carries is unwavered and unmatched. So have some humour, understanding and respect for the care Dr. Montana continues to serve to the valley.
West Olive Animal Hospital used to be a decent vet, but that is NOT the case ANYMORE! Things have changed since doctor Montana's stroke, and for us, it culminated today with dr. Montana's totally rude, uncalled-for attitude, and his verbal abuse on my wife. We waited one week for the doctor to return from an OOF activity plus another hour over the scheduled time - because that's the level of professionalism their office greets its customers with - so he can take a look at our dog. Some would say that waiting for the doctor one week plus another hour is a proof of trust. Some, but not doctor Montana who, even prior to saying hello, verbally abused my wife and showed her the door ("you are free to go get a different opinion"), just because she verbalized the questionable efficiency of a previous dog ear treatment prescribed by dr. Montana. My wife, who by the way is a RN with two masters, dared to explain to the doctor that the previous antibiotic treatment did not change much in our dog's situation, and that the condition returned immediately after the medicated treatment stopped. That indicates to us that the efficiency of the treatment/ medication was poor, and she expressed it to the doctor. The doctor's reaction was unfathomable, to say the least. We came to West Olive Animal Hospital from a different vet office that we thought it was a little beyond a comfortable driving distance. Considering what happened today in dr. Montana's office, we reevaluated the distance inconvenience and reassessed it as minimal, compared to the way the West Olive Animal Hospital treated us today! There will always be customers of WOAH who would pay $500+ for a cats' blood work. For all the other, conscious customers and independent thinkers, a word of advice, WOAH is nothing of what it used to be. Your pets are not necessarily in the best hands, anymore! I never thought we would experience such a deplorable attitude, dr. Montana! We are not going to bring our pets in your office anymore!
